• Hardcopy This chapter describes the Inventor ASCII file format. Whenever you apply a write action to a node, path, or path list, the output file is written in this format. You can read files that use this format into the Inventor scene database by using the read method on the database. The file format is also used for transferring 3D copy and paste data between processes.
