Display a binary image as overlay

OverlayDisplay This example demonstrates how to use the SoThresholdingProcessing to create a binary image and then how to display the thresholding result above the original image.

DESCRIPTION:

Segmentation is a very important step of an image processing workflow. This is where objects to identify in the scene are isolated in a binary or label image. Displaying a binary image overlaying the original image is a good way to control the relevance of a segmentation

The example shows how to display a binary image above a grayscale image with a transparency:

• a grayscale image is loaded in an SoImageDataAdapter object,
• a binary image is generated as output of the SoThresholdingProcessing engine,
• a scene graph is built to display the raw image in a viewer with the binary image as overlay.
