As of Open Inventor 2023.2. ImageViz API is replaced by the new ImageDev toolkit.
SoObjectBoundaryAreaQuantification engine. The SoObjectBoundaryAreaQuantification engine measures the solid objects surface.
For an introduction, see section Morphometry.
This engine measures the surface area of solid objects.
- In the 2D case the binarised object surface is calculated using Crofton perimeter.
- In the 3D case the binarised object surface is calculated using area 3d.
This engine's computations take pixel/voxel size into account.
