As of Open Inventor 2023.2. ImageViz API is replaced by the new ImageDev toolkit.

SoFillImageBorderProcessing3d engine. The SoFillImageBorderProcessing3d engine fills image borders.
For an introduction, see section Morphology.
This engine works only with 3D images. It applies SoFillHolesProcessing2d at the six exterior faces of the 3D image. It aims at closing 3D shapes connected to the borders of a 3D image.
